Redskins S LaRon Landry leveled a late hit out of bounds on Matt Ryan and a fight broke out between both squads. Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall said he had friends in high places that would make the Falcons pay for this, and apparently he was right.

Desiree Jennings was diagnosed with dystonia, a neurological brain disorder, days after she received the seasonal flu shot. Doctors say there is a 1:1,000,000 chance of this happening to flu shot recipients. Jennings has deteriorated since the story first broke, but she can still run and walk backwards with ease.

It was an injury-plagued Monday night: Eagles RB Michael Westbrook left the game with a concussion in the first quarter, WR DeSean Jackson strained his right foor, S Macho Harris sprained his ankle, and K David Akers bruised his hand, while Redskins TE Chris Cooley sustained a broken ankle on the first play of the 2nd quarter and will miss the rest of the season.

Redskins Ambassadors, an auxiliary branch of the Cheerleaders, focus on personal interaction with fans in the stands, clubs, and suites. Desiree's aspirations to become a full-fledged Cheerleader are now over.

Until Sunday the Lions were the laughing stock of the league because they hadn't won a game since Dec. 23, 2007. Now that has all changed. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford connected with WR Bryant Johnson for a TD in the 1st quarter and the Lions went on to beat the Redskins 19-14.
